Rachel Rohweder

Backed by more than 17 years of competitive riding experience ranging from young to nationally ranked horses, Rachel is uniquely equipped to help horse and rider achieve their goals in the Native River Farms program. With her background competing in the Hunter, Jumper and Big Eq arenas as a foundation, Rachel focuses on developing young horses and fostering riders of various skill levels.

 

 

junior career

Rachel started her equestrian journey in Colorado where she competed as a Junior predominately in the zone 8 region. She has extensive experience showing in the Hunters, Derbies, Bigeq medals, and Jumpers, whilst training with Mark Mead, Laurie Jueneman, and Steve Johnson.  As a Maclay Finals qualifier in 2010, Rachel has also shown on the East Coast (indoors) and Wellington, Florida.  As a Junior, Rachel excelled at catch-riding, and fine tuned her training skills on various horses. 

University & BEYOND

At the end of her Junior career, Rachel attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas and received her finance and accounting degree.  During the last two years of her studies, Rachel commuted to Flower Mound, Texas to compete with Woodhill Farms, leading her to settle in Dallas and establish her herself as a Professional rider in the DFW area.
